Obsidian has emerged through volcanic eruptions where lava with a high silica content quickly solidified and in combination with water and air has formed a kind of glass from the mass. The process of forming Obsidian takes place over a longer period of millions of years and different varieties can be found in several places around the world.

Gold Obsidian has a magically beautiful golden shine that is naturally created during formation through elements of Magnetite or Hematite. This gives the stone a beautiful exterior with a metal-like shimmer that is reflected in the light under its glass cover.
