Rainbow Obsidian has emerged through volcanic eruptions where lava with a high silica content quickly solidified and in combination with water and air has formed a kind of glass from the mass. With a combination of the lava mass and Magnetite, a beautiful shimmer is formed that appears when light is reflected in the stone via different angles.
