Septarian also called Dragonstone, is a three-colored concretion consisting of Aragonite (the brown), Calcite (the yellow) and Limestone (the gray). The name comes from the word "Septaria", which usually refers to any concretion with internal cavities or fissures. This unique mineral was formed about 50 to 70 million years ago during the Earth's Cretaceous period. Most Septarians are from Utah or Madagascar. This stone type has lovely colors and fantastic patterns.
